When you write in, it helps to include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth a paragraph.
LEAN produces estimates, not laboratory measurements. A body composition figure derived from photographs will differ from a DEXA scan or hydrostatic weighing.
What it's reliably good at is direction. Scan under similar conditions each time — same lighting, same distance, fitted clothing — and the change between scans is the number worth paying attention to. A single reading in isolation is the least useful way to use the app.
Small differences in lighting, posture, camera angle and how recently you ate all affect what the photos show. LEAN only reports a change in a region score when it's large enough to sit above that noise, which is why a score sometimes holds steady between scans.
If a score moves in a way that seems clearly wrong, email us with the date of both scans and we'll look at it.
They're uploaded, analysed, and deleted — within minutes. They are never stored long-term and never used to train AI models. Only the resulting numbers are kept, so you can see progress over time.

Force-quit and reopen the app — LEAN re-checks your subscription at launch. If it still refuses, open Profile and tap Restore Purchases.
Still stuck? Email us with the Apple Account email you subscribed with and we'll sort it out from our end.
Cancelling is handled by Apple, not by us:
Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → LEAN → Cancel Subscription
You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
